The Lauderdale Aqua Skiers (est. in the 1950s) is a non-profit (501c3) youth waterskiing organization whose purpose is to give people of all ages—especially our youth—an opportunity to work together, build confidence in themselves and their abilities, learn new skills and promote sportsmanship, teamwork and water safety education.
The Future Team (est. in 1996) is an entry level sector of the Lauderdale Aqua Skiers that teaches and encourages new and inexperienced members of all ages to learn the basics of show skiing, water safety and showmanship. Future Team members will have the opportunity to practice and perform their newest skills and talents in shows put on prior to the competition show. We are always looking for new members—experienced or novice—as well as supporting members (costume coordinators, ways and means assistants, rope-rollers, dock hands, boat spotters and more). It is not necessary for members to have a boat, skis or ropes to join the Lauderdale Aqua Skiers. |
